Disney Hotel Cheyenne

Wild West and Toy Story theming

Cheyenne is a 3 star hotel described as waiting for you for an old time wild west escape. The hotel is set in an old west town with both cowboy theming and some toy story theming, mostly based around Woody, Jessie and Bullseye.

This hotel has a wild west vibe with the rooms spread out over multiple buildings, made to look like an old cowboy town. It is a 3 star hotel, the same as Sequoia Lodge, but it doesn't have a pool or a club level option. All the rooms are either ground floor or first floor but there are no lifts for the first floor rooms.

As with all the onsite hotels you get access to Early Magic Hour when staying here so you can access the Disney Parks one hour before general opening.

The hotel has a bar and a buffet restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. There is also a Starbucks as part of this hotel.

Location and Park Access

Cheyenne is located along the river and behind Hotel New York, it is further from the parks than the hotels around the lake and is a similar distance to Hotel Santa Fe.

There is a free, wheelchair accessible, shuttle bus to and from the bus station next to the train station by the main security entrance to the parks and village. This runs every 10-20 minutes, and while it will it may take as long as walking, with the wait for the next bus, it does cut out some of the walking if there is a need to conserve energy where possible. It's worth noting at the hotel there is no curb where the bus stops so the ramp can be steep and I would recommend having someone behind you when using it!

To walk to the parks you would walk along the river then past Hotel New York. You would pass through the security point there and they usually have a priority queue at peak times, then walk through the village. The walk is well paved, well lit and mostly flat, with some opportunities to rest on walls and benches on the route. You can sometimes spot large fish in the river as you walk along!

General Hotel Accessibility

In keeping with the hotels theming as a wild west town this hotel is spread out over a number of buildings. In the centre of the town there is a main building which houses reception, luggage storage, the restaurant and the bar, and also the shop and a Starbucks, then the hotel rooms are split over multiple other buildings. The shuttle to the parks leaves from the front of this main building,

The areas between the buildings is all pedestrianised and is a flat concrete type surface, and then the buildings have wooden decked areas at the front of each. Each building has exterior doors that are not automatic, then carpeted interior corridors. You can see the exterior surfaces in this image:

Quiet street scene with a red wooden building on the left and clear blue sky.

Because of this layout rooms can be both quite far from reception and the restaurants and shuttle bus and also quite far from the river to walk along to the parks, and accessible rooms are spread out across the site, I have been in the furthest possible block before!

These blocks all have rooms on the ground and first floor. While all accessible rooms will be on the ground floor it is worth noting that none of the blocks have lifts so rooms can be assigned on the first floor requiring you to carry luggage etc up a flight of stairs. If this will cause issues you would need to contact Disney or your travel agent to ensure you have a ground floor room request logged.

Rooms

Rooms at Cheyenne either have 2 double beds or one double bed and then a single bed with a second pull out single underneath. All rooms sleep up to four, plus an infant, and the option of having the two single beds makes this hotel an appealing choice for families as it is the only Disney hotel with this option. You choose which room type when booking your stay.

They have air conditioning (and a ceiling fan) and include drink making facilities as standard, consisting of a kettle and a coffee machine (Lavazza Blue, if you want to bring your own pods, though they are replenished daily). They do not have fridges. If a fridge is required for medication there is a medication fridge that can be used at reception.

Standard bathrooms have a bath (though it has quite low sides) with a shower over. They provide shower gel, soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is a hairdryer but it is not very powerful.

There is a TV, but very limited channels and no option to log into anything like Disney Plus, and they are in a dresser so accessing ports to connect to another device could be difficult.

Hotel and Room Tour

This video by Sam4G0d gives an overview of the whole hotel and includes a room tour for a standard room.

I do recommend her videos in general for hotels and restaurants and all things Disneyland Paris.

Accessible Rooms

Accessible rooms also sleep up to four plus an infant but currently consist of two interconnected rooms. One room has one double bed and an accessible bathroom and the connected room usually has either one double or a double plus a single with a pull out bed under and a standard bathroom.

The floor is wooden, so is lovely and smooth to roll on, and there is space to move around in a wheelchair. The bed is on legs with space to fit a hoist underneath (though Disney do not provide these, but can help with hiring them). The room safe and hanging rails can be reached and there is a lower level peephole in the door.  The rooms are all located in blocks around the hotel so there is an external door that is not electric, then carpeted corridor, then the room door, Some accessible rooms are in the furthest blocks from reception so there can be a walk to the restaurants and to the shuttles, though if you are driving there is parking by all the blocks rather than one big car park.

There are no emergency cords. There are some plug sockets available but I would always recommend bringing an extension and multiplug, especially if you have medical or other multiple devices you need to have plugged in, and if you want flexibility over where to place them in the room.

The accessible bathroom is a large wetroom with a sliding door. There is a sink area with space to roll under, a raised toilet with a grab rail and a shower. Within the shower there is a fold down shower seat.

While this video is part of a vlog series it does give a good overview and review of the accessible room layout and features.

Hotel Facilities and Services

General Services

The hotel has a 24 hour reception, and concierge services. Priority passes, easy access passes and Bambi bands (for pregnancy) can be collected or requested from the concierge.

There is a manned luggage storage room (free of charge) and you can also use Disney Express (paid service) to transfer your luggage to or from the train station.

General Store - Hotel Shop

The hotel shop has cowboy theming and sells a range of merchandise, though with a focus on toy story items. It also sells a small selection of drinks and snacks, including cartons of milk.

You can collect the discovery quest prize here and they also sometimes have stickers available on request. At Christmas time you can write a letter to Santa here.

Pony Rides

During the warmer months Hotel Cheyenne offers pony rides for children, usually in the mornings between 9am and noon. You do not need to be staying at the hotel and you pay for them in the hotel shop.

There are age and weight requirements - the last time I saw the poster this was over 3 years and under 1m50cm, and the rides cost 12 euros, but this is subject to change.

Laundry Facilities

Hotel Cheyenne is the only Disney Hotel with self service laundry facilities, consisting of washing machines and dryers. You do not need to be a guest here to use them, and you pay for tokens for them in the shop, where you can also purchase detergent.

You can meet characters in the hotel every morning. The meeting point is in the reception area,

Here you can meet either Woody or Jessie from Toy Story.

The meet is between 8.15am and 11am. There is usually a photopass photographer.

For priority pass holders you can approach the CM with the character. Sometimes they will ask you to wait to one side for a few minutes, other times they may offer a return time.

Dining Options

Cheyenne has one buffet restaurant, a bar and also an on site Starbucks.

Chuck Wagon Café

Chuck Wagon Café is a buffet which serves breakfast and dinner. It can be booked on the app, but is also often has last minute availability. You do not need to book breakfast.

Breakfast (served 7-11am) has a wide selection and includes both hot and cold items. Gluten free bread and cakes/biscuits are available upon request and soy milk and dairy free spread are also available.

The dinner buffet (open from 6pm) serves a range of foods, with a Tex-Mex syle. There is a good range of salad options including cheeses, meats and bread, then main course options including chilli, rice and pasta dishes. There is a range of desserts including some toy story themed desserts. Vegan options are available and the allergen file can be requested on arrival.

In the summer there is often also an outdoor barbeque.

Red Garter Saloon
People sitting at outdoor wooden tables in a sunny courtyard.

The Red Garter Saloon is the hotel bar, open in the evenings. The interior has some lovely elements, including saddle shaped bar stools. It serves themed cocktails and mocktails alongside a full drinks menu and a small food menu which is pretty much just Pizza and a couple of ice creams.

It has fun theming indoors, but also has seating available outdoors, which is particularly nice in summer, when you can hear country music while enjoying the cowboy town vibes.

Hotel Cheyenne also benefits from having a Starbucks location at the Hotel. Situated next to reception, with the exterior resembling a bank, this location can be busy in the morning but can be a quieter place to stop by in the afternoons.

Starbucks

As this is a Disney Hotel it can be booked directly with Disneyland Paris, which is what I would recommend, especially if requiring an accessible room. Accessible rooms can't be booked online so you do need to call to reserve them.

You are able to contact the hotel concierge via email to arrange things like paid for in room packages and for help with restaurant bookings, they can also make a note of requests like to be closer to reception or ground floor, but they cannot arrange accessible rooms, they must be organised through the main reservations team.

The email for the hotel concierge is DLP.CHY.CONCIERGERIE@disney.com .

Guest Reviews

"I love the theming and layout of this hotel, as you really do feel like you are in the middle of an old cowboy town. The accessible rooms work well for many, and the wood floors are much easier to move around on, and the option of the two single beds makes this hotel popular with families with children who don't want to share a bed. I also really like the buffet at Chuck Wagon and find it has a really good range, and the bar is lovely to sit outside in summer."
