What we know about the accessibility of World of Frozen and Adventure Way, so far!

On 29 March 2026 Walt Disney Studios Park will become Disney Adventure World and the new World of Frozen and Adventure Way, linking World of Frozen to World Premiere Plaza, will open. This is a really exciting time for the park and is a massive step in it’s redevelopment and we are very excited to see it. We are so excited to see it that we will be there ready to get all the information we can to update the site!

In December I was able to see some preview videos, concept art and hear the new soundtrack for Adventure Way which has only increased my excitement. I was also able to view cast costumes and see some of the new merchandise, and even see a preview of part of the new night time show. This was all very exciting, but alas even with all the news releases and information being shared about the new areas there is still not a massive amount of information about the accessibility. However there has been some details released so let’s talk about it!

Nighttime scene of a Frozen-themed amusement park with illuminated buildings and mountains, promoting the opening.

Adventure Way

Adventure Way will provide a wide promenade, flanked by gardens and two new rides (though only one when it first opens, there is an Up themed ride to come later), to lead guests from World Premiere Plaza down to the new lake, Adventure Bay. It will also provide access routes to World of Frozen and a new entrance to Worlds of Pixar. This promenade looks like a great addition for accessibility, especially in a park known for bottleneck areas that make moving around the park more difficult for those with mobility issues or who find tight crowds difficult. It is wide, paved and well lit. It has also had a whole new soundtrack specially written and recorded to be played while you are enjoying the Adventure Way area.

Raiponce Tangled Spin

This new Rapunzel themed ride will be similar to the teacups in Fantasyland, but featuring boats and the floating lanterns from the Rapunzel movie, you’ll even be able to see where Rapunzel has painted her own decorations on the ride. This ride has no height restriction and is suitable for all ages.

The official accessibility information indicates that expectant mothers may not ride, and that there are some health warnings including for motion sickness for this ride. Wheelchair users must transfer, looking at the images of the ride vehicles this does look like a potentially quite tricky transfer, again similar to teacups with quite a deep step over and a spinner in the middle of the vehicle, it is not clear yet if there will be any aids available to assist with this transfer.

Cascade of Lights nighttime show

With the opening of Disney Adventure World comes a new opportunity for a location for a new nighttime show, the large lake. Specially designed barges will be moved into place each evening to prepare for an immersive show featuring water effects, projections, music and drones. The show will focus on courage and the heroes of Disney, including Marvel Superheroes, Moana, Mulan and Hercules.

While we are very excited to see this show one big benefit of it is that it is happening in a much more spacious area than Tales of Magic in Disneyland Park, allowing for more options for finding somewhere to watch from.

The show will have both a paid for viewing area, in front of Regal View Restaurant, and a dedicated disability viewing area, though the exact location for this has not been announced yet. As soon as we know more we will update the page about the disability viewing areas, and we are hoping to be there for the opening. This area will be for priority pass holders only and not for easy access passes and will have the same passholder plus 2 companions limit as for the area for Tales of Magic.

Regal View Restaurant and Lounge

The Regal View Restaurant and Lounge is a new lakeside table service restaurant with a separate bar area. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and will be a princess character dining experience, though this will not feature Elsa or Anna. The bar will be a walk in location and will service a full bar menu, including a set of Kir Royal cocktails themed to the Disney Princesses.

While we expect this to be a very popular option, especially initially, as the restaurant is bookable we can only hope that wait times will be manageable and we have seen a lobby area with seating for those waiting to be seated.

Food Stalls and Kiosks

This new area will bring with a lot of new quick takeaway food options with over a dozen new food and beverage kiosks. These new kiosks will include foods like bread bowls, hot dogs, sweet treats and for the first time at Disneyland Paris, cinnamon rolls!

We don’t have much further information about the kiosks yet, but many kiosks at Disneyland Paris can be a little challenging to use for some disabilities. They often have high counters and can have confusing queues, and it can be unclear if you can use a priority pass when the queue is long, and if you do as it’s often not marked there is a chance of other guests not understanding. However cast members are normally quite helpful and the card readers can usually be lowered to reach when counters are higher.

Gardens and Entertainment

Running along the side of the promenade will be an English gardens area, complete with statues, planting, benches and a gazebo. This area will provide an area to escape some of the hustle and bustle and it will also be able to host some musical entertainment throughout the year. So far Disney have announced that this area will host Miguel, Rapunzel and Flynn and Mary Poppins and Bert for musical performances at different times of year. It will also have opportunities for character meets, including Mickey and Minnie in their new Adventure Way outfits. Minnie will also be bringing back her marching band to the Adventure Way promenade.

We have seen that the new gardens area, including the gazebo, will have ramped access and benches to take a rest and enjoy the area.

World of Frozen

World of Frozen, also described as the Kingdom of Arendelle, will have one new ride, Frozen Ever After, a dedicated meet location for Anna and Elsa, a new Quick Service restaurant, Nordic Crowns Tavern, and two new shops.

Frozen Ever After

This new attraction is a family friendly boat ride which takes you on a journey through Arendelle to experience the story of Frozen. Featuring all your favourite characters and music from the first Frozen movie, this ride is essentially the same as the ride in Epcot in Florida and at Hong King Disneyland, so you can find videos of those on YouTube to see what to expect.

For accessibility we know that the ride does have some drops and that a transfer to the boat from a wheelchair is required, there will be no wheelchair accessible boat. Expectant mothers may not ride but there is no height restriction.

The ride will have very dark areas, use strobe light effects and there is a chance of getting splashed with water, likely similar to the risk on Pirates of the Caribbean.

Audio Description of the ride will be available via the Audiospot app.  The ride will have ride photos and have premier access available, which may be used for those with a green coloured priority pass. It will also have a single rider queue.

A Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa

Anna and Elsa will finally be meeting guests of all ages in their new dedicated meet location. This meet will be bookable via the virtual queue system so we have a good idea of what to expect based on the other virtual queues, especially at Avengers Campus which is the most recently built dedicated meet location.

As with all virtual queues there is no difference for disabled guests, everyone must book using the official Disneyland Paris app. Currently all virtual queues open up at the same times twice a day, 9.45am and 2pm. You have to have passed through either parks turnstiles that day to be able to book a slot. You can learn more about virtual queues here

We expect the building to have full step free access and that the meet will be somewhat private and quiet. There should be a photopass photographer available to capture the moment.

Nordic Crowns Tavern

There will be a quick service location within Arendelle serving Nordic inspired dishes, including gluten free and vegan options. The meals will be based on choosing a base of either quinoa or mashed potatoes then adding a protein like meatballs or salmon and a sauce and vegetables. There will also be Frozen themed deserts. The theming of this restaurant will reflect the sisterhood of Anna and Elsa, along with the heavily Nordic inspired deco.

Click and Collect will be available and based on other quick service locations we expect that there will be an accessible queue. As with other quick service we would always recommend trying to go at off peak times to help with queues but this will be a very popular option, at least initially, so do expect to have some wait if planning to eat here.

We are also expecting shopping opportunities, including merchandise themed to the  Frozen Ever After ride, to World of Frozen and Nordic inspired merchandise alongside other Frozen products. We are also looking forward to seeing some pop up characters, similar to in Avengers Campus. While we hope this will add to the overall atmosphere we also know these kinds of outdoor random experiences can bring large crowds and be difficult for disabled guests to manage so we will be waiting to see how these work out!

We also have no news yet on the toilets! While it is expected they will have toilets with accessible cubicle options we will be eagerly awaiting opening day to see how they rank!

What else to expect in World of Frozen

Entry to World of Frozen at opening

You do not need a different ticket or to pay extra for access to World of Frozen, it is included with any ticket that allows access to Disney Adventure World.

Just as with the opening of Avengers Campus it is expected to be busy in the initial period after opening, and Disneyland Paris have already advised that a queue system will be in place to avoid overcrowding of the area. This system is likely to be in place during the initial opening period but may then be in place at peak or busier days as required.

There will be a separate queue available for if you have secured a virtual queue booking to meet Anna and Elsa at A Royal Encounter with Anna and Elsa, but you are still advised to allow time to get into the area even with a reservation. Disney suggest arriving at least 20 minutes prior to your estimated time.

There will also be a separate priority queue for guests with a Priority Card or an Easy Access Card. We expect this will also include Bambi band holders.
