Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast has re-opened!

After a many months long refurbishment the time has come, and Buzz Lightyears Laser Blast ride has reopened.

This fun, family friendly, ride, located in Discoveryland in the Disneyland Park, is a popular attraction. The ride is great for a wide range of ages, allows a bit of competitive spirit and is also wheelchair accessible without a requirement to transfer.

While the renovation has been time consuming the focus has been on restoring this ride to it's former glory, and no substantive changes have been made to how the ride operates or is accessed.

So what has been done?

  • Repainting and refreshing of the whole exterior façade, including the 2 metre tall Buzz Lightyear statue
  • Work on the ride vehicles and the Astro Blasters, while not being fully replaced like in Disneyworld the vehicles have had a lot of work including replacements of blasters and dashboards
  • A much brighter adventure, work on the interior luminous paintwork and on the lighting and other special effects.

Disneyland Paris have shared a video showing the ride in it's refreshed glory, and you can click below to view the access guide for this attraction.
