Audio Description at Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris offers audio description on a selection of attractions and experiences, helping guests who are blind or partially sighted enjoy the parks more independently.
Using the AudioSpot app, guests can access additional narration that describes visual scenes, settings, characters and actions throughout an attraction. This allows you to experience more of the storytelling and visual effects that might otherwise be missed.
The service is free to use and can be downloaded to your own smartphone before or during your visit.
What is audio description?
Audio description is an accessibility service that provides spoken descriptions of visual elements alongside an attraction's existing soundtrack.
Rather than replacing the attraction audio, it adds narration to describe things such as:
- Characters and costumes
- Scenic details and settings
- Actions and movement
- Visual effects
- Changes in lighting and atmosphere
This helps guests build a fuller picture of the story being told throughout the attraction.
How does it work?
Using audio description at Disneyland Paris is straightforward:
- Download the AudioSpot app to your smartphone before your visit.
- Open the app and select Disneyland Paris.
- Choose the attraction you are about to experience.
- Wear headphones or earbuds.
- Start the audio just before boarding.
The app synchronises the narration with the attraction, so descriptions play at the appropriate moments throughout the experience.
Description is available in French or English.
