Best Disneyland Paris Hotel Pools for Accessibility: Ranked from Best to Worst

If you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Paris and want to factor in pool access—especially from an accessibility perspective—you’re in the right place. I’ve stayed at multiple Disney hotels and, as a wheelchair user, I always make time to check out the pools.

In this guide, I’m ranking the Disneyland Paris hotel pools based on both accessibility and overall experience, including things like pool hoists, layout, crowd levels, and how easy everything feels in practice.

What All Disneyland Paris Hotel Pools Have in Common

Before getting into the ranking, it’s worth noting that there are a number of accessibility features and amenities that are consistent across (almost) all of the Disneyland Paris hotel pools.

All of the pools have a self-propellable pool wheelchair available, although I have always been allowed to take my own manual chair right up to the poolside, which is something I really appreciate.

Swim aids are also available at every pool, and all of the hotels provide towels—except for Davy Crockett Ranch, where towels can be hired from the shop instead.

Each pool also has accessible changing facilities (including ample, free to use, lockers), toilets, and showers, and toiletries are provided (with the Disneyland Hotel standing out for its Clarins products).

With that in mind, the differences in ranking really come down to layout, additional features, and how accessible certain areas—like hot tubs—are in practice.

1. Sequoia Lodge – Quarry Pool

Sequoia Lodge stands out as the clear winner for me—and by quite a margin. The Quarry Pool offers both indoor and outdoor sections, plus a hot tub, making it a fantastic place to relax away from the parks.

From an accessibility perspective, it’s one of the strongest options on property. The pool is located in a separate building which is maybe the only downside, it can be a chilly wander over to it in winter, but the walkway is covered and you can leave coats in lockers.

Both the main pool and the hot tub have pool hoists, which is a huge plus—and notably, Sequoia Lodge is the only Disneyland Paris hotel where I’ve found a hoist available for the hot tub. The hot tub also has a wide ledge, making it easier to sit and swing your legs in if that works better for you.

There is an outdoor pool, which while not large, is a lovely area, in the woodland setting, to relax in summer. This pool is also the only one on site with a slide, which is a great addition. The slide is accessed via a flight of stairs reached by swimming across the pool, so is not the most accessible but is still a fun extra.

Access into the main pool is via steps with a handrail rather than a ladder. There are a few steps between areas, but a platform lift is available, and handrails are in place.

In terms of facilities, there is an accessible changing room with a fixed bench, an accessible toilet (although it could benefit from more grab rails), and an accessible shower.

Overall, this pool strikes the best balance between accessibility, comfort, and atmosphere—making it my top choice.

2. Disneyland Hotel – Crystal Pool and Health Club

The Disneyland Hotel pool is entirely indoors, so while it lacks an outdoor section, it does offer a calm and comfortable space to unwind. There are loungers and cushioned seating areas around the pool, which make it a pleasant place to relax between swims.

There is a pool hoist available for the main pool, which is a big positive. However, there isn’t one for the hot tub—something that is consistent across all of the Disneyland Paris hotel pools except Sequoia Lodge. Both the main pool and the hot tub have stepped access with handrails, though the hot tub steps are quite steep and may be challenging for some.

There is also a shallow splash area.

Beyond the pool itself, the wider facilities are a highlight. There is a sauna and steam room located in a separate area with wide doors, along with a bench and an accessible shower just outside. The hotel also features a fitness centre and a Clarins spa offering bookable treatments.

There is an accessible changing room with a pull-down seat and a pull-down grab rail, although on my visits this grab rail has not been usable due to what appears to be incorrect installation. There is also an accessible toilet, which is spacious but could benefit from additional grab rails, and an accessible shower.

Clarins shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner are provided, along with Dyson hair dryers and a swimsuit spinner, which are nice added touches.

Overall, this pool offers good accessibility in key areas and excellent additional facilities, but a few limitations—particularly around the hot tub and changing room setup—keep it just behind Sequoia Lodge for me.

3. Newport Bay Club – Nantucket Pool

Newport Bay Club has a beautiful indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, making it a great option for a break from the parks. The outdoor pool is a really good size and is especially lovely for relaxing by during hot summer days.

The pool has step-free access from within the hotel, but the only wheelchair accessible access to the pool requires you to go through the accessible changing room, which if it's in use can lead to a bit of an awkward wait. This pool has a foot bath but does have the option of a gate, a feature handy for a friend using an electric wheelchair to allow her to bring it closer.

Access into the pool is via steps with a handrail, or by use of a pool hoist, however, like most Disneyland Paris hotel pools, there is no hoist available for the hot tub.The hot tub also has a handrail and a couple of steps down into it.There is also a good range of foam float aids and toys at this pool.

For the adults there is a steam room and sauna which I find the most relaxing part of visiting this pool because one thing that stands out here is that I consistently find this to be the busiest of all the hotel pools, which can impact how accessible and relaxing it feels in practice.

Overall, this is a very well-rounded pool with a standout outdoor area—but the busyness and some accessibility limitations mean it doesn’t quite match the ease of Sequoia Lodge or the facilities of the Disneyland Hotel for me.

4. Hotel New York – Art of Marvel Pool

Hotel New York has a subway-themed indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub, which can be a great place to take a break from the parks. The outdoor pool isn’t as large as the one at Newport Bay Club, but it’s still a relaxing spot in the summer months.

The pool has step-free access from within the hotel. It has a very modern looking aesthetic but is essentially a very rectangular, and quite deep pool so is not the most visually interesting of the pools, dare I say it's a bit boring!

Access into the pool is via steps with a handrail, and there is a handrail to access the hot tub but again no hoist. There is a small splash area and loungers around the pool.

Overall, this is a solid and accessible pool with both indoor and outdoor options, but it doesn’t quite stand out as much as some of the higher-ranked hotels.

5. Davy Crockett Ranch Pool

Davy Crockett Ranch offers a large indoor pool, although unlike some of the other hotels, there is no outdoor pool.

This pool is the largest and includes a lazy river, which is a really nice and relaxing addition. It also has a slide which makes the pool more interesting, though like at Sequoia you need to be bale to climb stairs to use the slide.

However, there are some limitations. The hot tubs are difficult to access, as there is no hoist available and there are steps up to them, which may be a barrier for some guests.

One slightly unusual aspect is that the restaurant overlooks the pool through windows, which can feel a bit odd depending on how you prefer your pool environment.

Overall, while there are some good accessibility features in place, the lack of an outdoor pool and the more limited access to certain areas mean this ranks lowest for me.

Final Thoughts: Which Disneyland Paris Hotel Pool Is Best for Accessibility?

Each of the Disneyland Paris hotel pools offers something slightly different, but accessibility can vary quite a bit between them.

For me, Sequoia Lodge is the clear winner—not just because of its layout, but because it’s the only hotel where both the main pool and the hot tub have hoists, making a real difference to how independently you can use the facilities.

The other hotels all offer good baseline accessibility, but the lack of hot tub access and small design limitations can add up depending on your needs.

If pool access is an important part of your Disneyland Paris trip, it’s definitely worth factoring this into your hotel choice—not just for convenience, but for those much-needed moments of rest during a busy Disney stay.
