What to Expect from Hotel Room Service – Vegan Edition

There’s something undeniably special about ordering room service breakfast. It’s a small luxury that can completely transform the start of your day—no rushing, no crowds, just a calm, cosy morning while you ease yourself into the magic ahead.

At Disneyland Paris, room service breakfast is available at three hotels:

  • Disneyland Hotel
  • Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
  • Newport Bay Club

And for vegans, it can be a surprisingly great option.

Why Room Service Works So Well for Vegans

While the hotel buffets do cater for vegans, they can quickly become expensive if you’re having them every day. Outside of buffets, breakfast choices are fairly limited.

Popular quick options like McDonald’s, Earl of Sandwich, and Le Comptoir (at Brasserie Rosalie) don’t currently offer vegan breakfast choices, and Starbucks has recently been pretty much a miss, except for coffee! Even within the parks, options are minimal—despite vegan croissants being available at buffets, they don’t appear at quick-service breakfast spots.

There are a few exceptions (like the açai bowl at Sports Bar), but overall, choices are limited.

That’s where room service really shines. It guarantees you a proper, filling breakfast before heading into the parks—and often at a better value than you might expect.

Another bonus? Unlike buffets, anything you order is yours to keep. Leftovers can be saved for later, or even turned into snacks for the day.

Newport Bay Club

Room service breakfast is available in all rooms at Newport Bay Club. You can choose a full continental breakfast with vegan swaps, or opt for the à la carte vegan platter (€12).

I went for the vegan platter, which also included a vegan croissant—a definite highlight.

The platter included:

  • 2 Beyond sausages
  • Baked beans
  • Half a grilled tomato
  • Sliced potatoes
  • A toasted bread roll
  • Vegan spread
  • Mini jars of tomato sauce and mustard (very cute!)

We skipped drinks and just used the in-room coffee. The meal was delivered on trays.

I didn’t quite finish everything, but I tried it all and really enjoyed it. Compared to a €10 cooked breakfast at Earl of Sandwich (which isn’t vegan anyway), this felt like excellent value.

Bonus: I saved the croissant for later, and even after being wrapped in a napkin, it was still delicious hours later.

Verdict: Great value, filling, and satisfying. My only downside is that Newport Bay has accessibility challenges for me personally, so it’s not somewhere I stay often.

Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel

Hotel New York offers a very similar setup: continental breakfast with vegan swaps or a €12 vegan platter.

This version was almost identical to Newport Bay, with a few differences:

  • No vegan croissant (just toast instead)
  • 3 Beyond sausages instead of 2
  • Baked beans and sliced potatoes
  • 3 smaller grilled tomatoes
  • Vegan spread and Heinz sauce jars

Instead of trays, the meal was set up on a table, which felt a bit more elevated. We were in a suite, so space wasn’t an issue—but in standard rooms, it might feel a bit tight.

There was also a basket of bread rolls included, though in our case we weren’t entirely sure who it belonged to (we had ordered as a group!).

Verdict: Very similar to Newport Bay and just as enjoyable. I did miss the croissant, though—toast just doesn’t have the same “save for later” appeal. Still excellent value overall.

Disneyland Hotel

This is where things really step up.

As well as the continental option, the Disneyland Hotel offers five vegan à la carte choices—a much wider selection than the other hotels.

Prices are higher (€18–€20), but the variety and portion sizes make it feel worthwhile.

Day One: Scrambled Tofu Breakfast

I chose scrambled tofu with toast, tomatoes, and sausages.

Everything arrived on separate plates, which I liked—you could assemble it however you wanted.

I’ll be honest: the tofu didn’t look particularly appealing at first (a bit pale and watery), but it turned out to be delicious. If I ordered it again, I might bring a little kala namak (black salt) for an extra “eggy” flavour.

This meal also came with:

  • 1 large slice of toast
  • A generous bowl of tomatoes
  • 6 Beyond sausages (yes, six!)

It was a huge portion—definitely more than I needed, but no one could accuse them of being stingy.

We skipped ordering drinks again, but used the pear nectar from the minibar and some champagne to make Bellinis… which felt very on-brand for the Disneyland Hotel.

Verdict: Surprisingly delicious and very generous, though slightly oversized.

Day Two: Chickpea Galettes

The next morning, I tried the chickpea galettes.

These were savoury pancakes served with:

  • Spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Shoots
  • A vegan feta-style cheese

They were light, fluffy, and nicely herbed without being overpowering. The portion size felt much more balanced, though still filling.

Verdict: A standout dish—flavourful, satisfying, and well-portioned.

Update: The Porridge

On a later stay, I also tried the porridge.

It was nice—comforting and well made—but compared to the other options, it felt a bit underwhelming. The portion was smaller and didn’t include any sides, so it didn’t quite offer the same value for money.

Verdict: Good, but not the best choice on the menu.

Final Thoughts

If you’re vegan and staying at Disneyland Paris, room service breakfast is absolutely worth considering.

It offers:

  • Reliable vegan options
  • Good portion sizes
  • Better value than daily buffets
  • The flexibility to save food for later

Each hotel has its strengths, but if you’re looking for the best variety, the Disneyland Hotel is the clear winner.

That said, even the simpler platters at Newport Bay and Hotel New York are satisfying, affordable, and a great way to start your day without the breakfast rush.
